How we look after your family's personal data when you register for our camps, book a party, or get in touch.

Newtonshow Hong Kong runs children's science and robotics camps and birthday parties across Hong Kong. When you register your child or book a party, you're trusting us with personal information — including details about your child. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. We handle personal data in line with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO).
Information we collect
When you register for a camp, book a birthday party, or contact us, we may collect:
- Your child's name and age.
- Parent or guardian contact details, such as your name, email address and phone number.
- Any dietary, allergy or medical information you choose to share about your child, so we can keep them safe during our activities.
We also collect limited, anonymous data about how visitors use this website — see Cookies and analytics below.
How we collect it
We collect this information directly from you, the parent or guardian — never from children directly. In practice, that happens when you:
- Complete a registration or booking form. We use Google Forms for camp registrations and party bookings.
- Communicate with us by email, WhatsApp or phone, or through our Google Workspace tools.
How we use your information
We use the personal data you give us only to run and safeguard our camps and parties. Specifically, to:
- Process your registration or booking and manage your child's place.
- Communicate with you about the activity, including any updates or changes.
- Cater to your child's dietary, allergy and medical needs and keep them safe while in our care.
- Respond to your enquiries.
Children's data
We take particular care with information about children. A child's personal data is always provided by their parent or guardian, and we use it only to run and safeguard the activities your child takes part in. Access to this information is limited to the staff who need it to look after your child.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. Non-essential cookies, such as analytics cookies, are only set with your consent: you'll see a cookie consent banner when you first visit, and you can choose whether to accept them. Essential cookies needed for the site to work do not require consent.
We also use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which count page views and measure how quickly pages load. They set no cookies and do not identify you, so they run whether or not you accept the banner.
How we store and protect your data
The information you share with us is collected and stored using Google services, including Google Forms and Google Workspace. Access is limited to the staff who need it to run our camps and parties and to safeguard the children in our care. Our website is served entirely over HTTPS, so information sent between your browser and our site is encrypted in transit.
Third-party services
To run our activities and this website, we rely on a small number of trusted third-party services:
- Google Forms — camp registrations and party bookings.
- Google Workspace — email and day-to-day operations.
- WhatsApp — messaging with parents.
- Google Analytics, via Google Tag Manager — website analytics.
- Vercel — website hosting, plus cookieless traffic and page-speed measurement.
When you use these channels, your information is also handled by those providers in line with their own privacy practices.

Your rights under the PDPO
Under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to ask whether we hold personal data about you or your child, to request a copy of it, and to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate. To make a request, email us at info@newtonshow.hk.
